In Another Realm

In Another Realm examines the devastation of Ukrainian cities through the use of scorched materials and layered imagery. The work incorporates burned wood and lino print to register the physical and emotional impact of missile strikes, allowing destruction to be inscribed directly into the surface.

At the centre of the composition, a lino print depicts a ruined multifamily residential building. Burns, perforations, and abrasions echo real damage inflicted on civilian architecture. By printing onto charred material, the work collapses image and matter, positioning the surface itself as a bearer of memory and loss.
